French Verb Card Project

Are your high school French students failing to truly learn verb conjugations? Are they relying on technology for a quick conjugation but not internalizing those conjugations? Welcome to my Verb Card Project. I have been doing this project with my French classes since 2005, and it is just as useful today as it was back…

About Allison

I’m Allison. I’m originally from Louisiana, and I have been teaching secondary French since 2005. I have taught all levels of middle and high school French from 6th grade through AP, as well as a few years of high school English. I taught in public school in the United States as well as private school, including an international boarding school. I also spent six years as a private school division director working with all subject area teachers on curriculum and teaching practices.

I lived and went to university in Paris in the early 2000s. At the end of the 2024 school year I said a tearful goodbye to my high school students to fulfill my passion of living in Europe once again. I now live with my family in The Netherlands where I spend my time running Mrs. Madame’s Classroom, writing fiction, and learning Dutch as a third language. Becoming a language learner again has given me good insight into the kinds of materials that language students need as I create materials for my store.
